The small company Ciergerie des Prémontrés is located in the town of Tarascon, near Avignon, in the south of France. The company produces candles and wax objects using the same techniques used in the early Renaissance period.

La Ciergerie des Prémontrés is the last traditional French candle maker and the only artisanal manufacturer in Provence producing candles and wax objects according to an ancient tradition dating back to the 15th century. Candles and wax objects are made from carefully selected and measured ingredients (beeswax, vegetable wax, mineral wax, natural pigments, essential oils, braided cotton wicks, etc.). This unique expertise results in a density of exceptional wax that boasts a longer lifespan (between 3 and 5 times longer than industrial candles) and an intense, deep, and vibrant light.
